Oglala Sioux Tribal Youths, had the opportunity to attend Cloud Horse Art Institute Summer Camps during 2006. All Art Classes are instructed by experienced, and successful professional artists. The Workshop in Contemporary Lakota Art included classes in Three Dimensional Drawing, Lakota Expressive Painting, and Sculpture.
In August a second Traditional Lakota Arts Camp for Women, was open to youth ages 13-25. The one week Traditional Arts Camp was planned by Tilda Long Soldier-St. Pierre and Gus Yellow Hair. The students camped onsite and participated in a daily scheduled curriculum of hide tanning, beading with tendon and hide painting.

Fully funded, throughout the year Cloud Horse Art Institute will offer many different types of traditional art classes to the Lakota People and other regional tribal members, urban and reservation, ranging from painting, sculpting, Lakota language, cultural teachings, quillwork, hide painting & tanning, beadwork, horn, bone & stone carving, feather work, food gathering & preparation, and tipi construction.
