At our youth camps, we first celebrate who we are as Lakota people. On that strong foundation, we teach art and life skills that spark creativity and build character.
We have found that young people crave the opportunity to embrace their heritage and make it meaningful in their contemporary lives.
In a safe and supportive environment, Lakota values, language and history are transferred through our daily camp activities.
Through art, storytelling, songs, outdoor exercise and self exploration, our young people learn to connect to their cultural legacy in a relevant way.

We explore nature daily– integrating history and traditional practices as we teach about science, ecosystems and stewardship.
In a few days together, we open eyes, spark creativity and warm young hearts.

With the guidance of caring adults, our young students are set on the path of becoming adults who will be proud, empowered, capable, hopeful, and embracing of their heritage.
